Supporting your Neuro Unique Learner

I love being part of the Outschool learning community! I offer courses for neurodiverse kids and teens and students with learning disabilities as well as book studies, note taking, and writing classes that are accessible to all learners. I specialize in supporting kids and teens with ADHD, supporting learners who find reading and writing challenging, and helping learners strengthen their executive function skills to be more successful in school and life.

My book studies are designed to be engaging and inclusive for all learners. Many of the books I share with students include neurodiverse or racially diverse characters. My Real People Real History courses are designed to offer students first person accounts of real life historical events. I am passionate about sharing diverse voices and perspectives with my students in both my note taking classes and book studies.

I am a credentialed teacher who has taught preschool-adult learners. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am also a former robotics coach.

I have always loved to learn. My goal is to help my students to become confident and passionate learners. I work hard to create a classroom community where everyone’s contributions are valued and students feel supported. I love it when my students bring their own experiences into class. I have a special place in my heart for quirky kids and those who learn differently Although I think that struggle can move students forward, I also think it is important to give students the support they need to become successful learners.

I have ADHD myself and also have family members who have ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. I believe that people with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism are truly extraordinary. Those of us with learning challenges can be highly creative thinkers and hard workers. When we are passionate about something we can produce amazing results!
